"Now the full number of those who believed were of one heart and soul, and no one said that any of the things that belonged to him was his own, but they had everything in common. And with great power the apostles were giving their testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace was upon them all. There was not a needy person among them, for as many as were owners of lands or houses sold them and brought the proceeds of what was sold and laid it at the apostles' feet, and it was distributed to each as any had need."
Currently we, as the local church gathered at Peoples Church, have a great opportunity to share one another’s burdens during this unfamiliar time. This is an invitation for each person at Peoples Church to help out in their own way, using their own resources, time or skills, all for the glory of God.
If you have any needs during this time, please let us know. There are many in the church ready and willing to help where possible or just to pray if you need encouragement. Perhaps you've lost your job or are working reduced hours and are not sure how to make ends meet, or maybe you need a prescription picked up or simply need bread and milk or diapers. Whatever the need might be, please contact the church office, a deacon, an elder, or even pick someone from the church directory.
Let’s unite with “one heart and soul” so that we too can say “There was not a needy person among [us].”
(Please continue to practice the guidelines and instructions for gathering and isolation laid out by our various levels of government. If you are sick or have come into contact with someone who is sick, please do not volunteer to help meet a need at this time.)
