Worship & Communion Service
Every first Sunday of the month
10:30am – 11:45am
Location: 3888 London Line, Plympton-Wyoming, ON N0N 1T0Category: Services
Join us at 10:30am as we gather together to worship Christ through song, prayer, reading of Scripture and the preaching of God's Word.
Includes a time of Communion in which we remember Christ's suffering and atonement for our sins in a tangible way by partaking of the elements;
The Bread - representing Christ's body, broken for us, and
The Cup - representing Christ's blood, shed for us
Peoples Church practices Open Communion, meaning that participation in the elements (bread & cup) is open to all who profess Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord.
Communion is usually celebrated at Peoples Church on the first Sunday of each month.
Pragmatic considerations mean our familiar 'communion trays' are not in use at this time. Instead, an individually pre-packaged bread & cup will be waiting for you when you arrive. (A gluten-free bread alternative is available, though you'll still need to pick up a cup for the juice portion.)
Here's what Stage 3 looks like for Worship Services at Peoples:
Online registration will continue for both the service and nursery, but rooms will no longer be designated. When you arrive, you can still choose to sit in the Fellowship Hall, but the Worship Hall will be filled on a first come first seated basis.
However, it will take a little creativity and flexibility on everyone’s part as we joyfully gather to worship and also to accomplish the required distancing. Masks are still required.
Once the Worship Hall is deemed to be at capacity the ushers will direct the remaining worshippers to the Fellowship Hall. The maximum allowable people in any worship service is now determined by the ability to keep 2m between families or social bubbles. Seating will still be in every other pew.
To help minimize the number of 2m empty spaces, we are encouraging everyone to sit with their families, extended families, or with your social bubble.
If you do not have family or a social bubble at Peoples or are here visiting, know that you are still most welcome – there's room for everyone!
